*HIDING*
Perhaps one of the most important aspects of paintball is
hiding. When playing this sport, you must have a good hiding spot, this spot is called the bunker.
There are different types of bunkers. There are stand up's, these are probably the most comfortable bunkers
in paintball. There are lower bunkers, and these require you to kneel down on one knee, which may hurt
with out knee pads (we'll see more about armor at the EQ section). Also make sure that there are NO holes which may allow paintballs
or paint to go through. This will cover the *HIDING* section for now.
*GUN*
One of the most frequently asked question is: "WHAT GUN SHOULD I GET"? Well, if your new to paintball and want to get
involved into the sport, but don't want to spend much money into it yet, you should look for a cheap gun, probably
around $80-$100. For beginning I recommend a SPYDER COMPACT. They are cheap and dependable. They will never break down on you, guaranteed.
They are about $100 and come field strippable. Field stripping is when you pull out the field pin
on the side of the gun and it comes apart. You also want to stay away from Brass Eagle guns and Brass Eagle paint.
Get a 200 round hopper with an elbow, a 12 ounce c02 tank, then your all set to play paintball with your new COMPACT.
*EQUIPMENT*
Equipment...... another important thing. But the most important part of equipment
is the mask. Anit-fog masks are the best. You want to try to get anti fog thermal lens goggles. JT makes
good masks. Masks are more important then the gun your shooting. If you can't see, you'll lose major paint.
Another thing is, if you can't take pain, then this game isn't for you. Only armor worn should be knee pads. These
will allow you to kneel without rocks stabbing your knees. Clothes worn should be dark, with long sleeves
and pants.
